The I&E Tech III for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Alpine Midstream I&E and Measurement at the company’s Pecos, TX office reporting to the I&E Foreman
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Responsible for installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.
Troubleshoot issues with equipment. Run conduit, pulls wire, changes motors.
Maintains lighting systems and basic motor controls.
Must have experience in field communications similar to CIG-NET also SCADA
Maintains and troubleshoots field control systems and complex equipment.
Maintain, modify and troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
Maintains advanced monitoring devices (gas, detectors, vibration and temperature monitors).
Has knowledge of field compressor processes, electrical layout, safety systems and area classifications.
Troubleshoot problems with equipment. Run conduit, pulls wire, changes motors.
Maintains/troubleshoots plant control systems and complex equipment and including taking care of GC, H2O, Co2, H2S
Sustain, modify and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems.
Controls (PLC) to maximize control technology and minimize costs.
Maintains advanced monitoring devices.
Review P&ID, electrical diagrams and other electrical drawings; interprets plant electrical diagrams. Updates electrical drawings when necessary.
Troubleshoots, Installs, and maintains process controls, end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, substation and branch feeders, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc.
Knowledge of AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC.
Executes preventative/general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment, which could include working near energized circuits over 440 volts.
Familiar with plant processes, electrical layout, safety systems and area classifications.
General upkeep of facilities/equipment including as necessary: engines/compressors, company vehicle and shop.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
High School Diploma/GED
At least three years of experience of practical, electrical experience.
Ability to produce understandable and accurate reports and records
Ability to troubleshoot.
Is able to examine/analyze equipment for defects
Uses hand tools, power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment
Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment
Is familiar with AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC
Is familiar with medium voltage (4160vac) switchgear and VFD’s
Has operating knowledge in the operations and maintenance of natural gas systems.
Must have record of very positive work performance, very good safety record, ability to perform work independently, history of being dependable and reliable, good organizational skills, good customer relations
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred
Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.
