    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    Position Title: Production Buyer


    Location: Midland, TX


    Specific Responsibilities:

    The Production Buyer , for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Supply Chain team at the company’s Midland, office reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain. 


    This role will be primarily responsible for the following:


    Drives RFQ process/procurement of purchased products and services through the requisitioning and purchasing process for Apache.


    Key Duties and responsibilities include:

    • Source, negotiate, procure, schedule and expedite services and equipment
    • Procure material per Apache Purchasing Policy for production facilities and operations
    • Serve as the point of communication and coordination for Production, Engineering, Inventory Control and Management
    • Maintain working relationship with multiple vendors
    • Responsible for production tubing and sucker rod orders
    • Maintain inventory of lined and coated tubing at Permian Enterprises
    • Manage surplus utilization for the region
    • Provides support in the sale of scrap tubulars
    • Supervises Supply Chain Tech
    • Other duties may be assigned

    Job Qualifications

    Professional Qualifications & Experience:

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:


    Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field

    Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry

    • Must possess ability to function with a high level of independence and manage multiple projects to meet required timelines
    • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, as well as collaboratively with the leadership team
    • Superior communication skills including listening, interpersonal communication, written skills, verbal skills and presentation skills
