    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    Position Title: Gas Measurement Analyst
     
    Location: Midland, TX
     
    Specific Responsibilities:

    The Gas Measurement Analyst, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Permian Production Services team at the company’s Midland, TX, office reporting to the David Cole.  This position is for a person qualified in the gas measurement field with the responsibility for the installation, programming, calibration and repairs of equipment associated with the measurement and analysis of natural gas. The analyst is responsible for system balances, BTU trending, calibration/witness schedules and data management.

     
    This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for the installation, calibration and repair of gas measurement equipment including meters, samplers, flow computers and associated equipment.
    • Responsible for the installation, trouble-shooting and repair of remote communication devices.
    • Witness custody transfer settlement tests and inspections to ensure Apache’s measurement interests are monitored and meet contractual, state and federal requirements.
    • Organizes calibration, sampling and witness schedules to maximize efficiency.
    • Maintains system balances and must have the ability to identify/resolve gas loss/measurement discrepancies.
    • Required to maintain all gas measurement data and reports to satisfy contractual, state and federal requirements.
    • Maintains audit preparedness for area of responsibility.
    • Fully capable of obtaining spot and composite gas samples according to API/GPA standards.
    • Track measurement costs and cost savings, work with foreman on budget planning.
    • Provide measurement assistance to multiple internal/external departments.
    • Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Support other areas as needed.

     

    Job Qualifications

    Professional Qualifications & Experience:


    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

    Education:
    • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
    Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years Oil and Gas or equivalent related industry experience.
    Requirements:
    • Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and ABB Software.
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
