    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    PURPOSE/JOB SUMMARY:

     

    Provide software administration, training, and end-user support for Apache Permian Operations Software Users. Support efforts to analyze business practices and implement new solutions to optimize current workflows.

     

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform software training, and end-user support for well operations applications with particular focus on the Peloton Suite products. (WellView, RigView, SiteView)
    • Support efforts to analyze business practices and find ways to reduce inefficient or redundant processes.
    • Define and resolve day-to-day operational concerns and quality control in order to optimize productivity.
    • Quality check daily reports for errors and correct with foremen / supervisors / techs / and vendors.
    • Support efforts to implement new solutions or utilize existing systems/tools that allow Operations departments to use technology more productively.
    • Regularly visit site locations for training / mentoring of individuals in the use of WellView with particular focus on drill rig locations.
    • Cultivate a close working relationship with other IT resources to facilitate maintenance, implementation, and troubleshooting WellView.
    • Utilize SQL to find ad hoc errors and exploit data mining and usage analytics opportunities.
    • Perform other related duties and/or special projects as required.

     

    Job Qualifications

    KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

     

    EDUCATION:   Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience with Peloton Drilling and Production applications, specifically: WellView, SiteView, RigView. Experience training Peloton products both in groups and individually.
    • Proven experience supporting user base throughout the well lifecycle with particular focus on drilling operations.
    • Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience working with databases and related technologies. (views or queries)
    • Proven experience utilizing data analytics programs such as Excel and Spotfire.

     

     

    PRIMARY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES (TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES):

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience gathering Use Case specifications, collating them, and communicating them upstream to Apache IT for implementation.
    • Application support experience such as troubleshooting problems, working with customers, meeting SLA’s etc.
    • Knowledge of the Windows operating systems (both desktop and server) such as files software installation, managing processes and services, etc.
    • Must have strong documentation skills, attention to detail and execution of processes.
    • Basic knowledge of Peloton databases a strong plus. (Oracle preferred but SQL Server accepted).
    • Excel VBA a strong plus.
    • Spotfire a strong plus.
