    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    PURPOSE/JOB SUMMARY:

     

    • Tank Gauging with the ability to work tanks of oil while meeting or exceeding API guidelines/company measurement specs.
    • Have the ability to be responsible for your dedicated area which will include LACTs and handruns.
    • Work with other team members to calculate an accurate Over/Short on oil gathering systems.
    • Have the ability to repair pipeline pumps, make LACT unit repairs, and have strong troubleshooting abilities for both.
    • Witnessing LACT Provings, allocation provings, tank strappings and sample pots.
    • Have the ability to perform end of month closeout duties on gathering systems.
    • Have a good understanding of Allocation Measurement.
    • Ensure Apache production meets or exceeds Sealing/Security requirements on both company and governmental agencies.
    • Maintain seal records for LACTs and Handruns.
    • When issues arise preform line integrity studies.    
    • Maintain LACT historic records to trend meter factors, S&W and/or other items that could have an impact on the LACT performance.
    • Be aware of LACT and run ticket record keeping locations for Apache meter documents that will satisfy contractual, state and federal requirements.
    • Communicate with purchasers, review LACT and truck sales proving reports and run tickets to better identify and resolve measurement discrepancies.
    • Work with Apache’s Marketing group to help eliminate transporter issues, including RVP, sulfur and gravity.
    • Work with Apache’s Marketing to establish pipeline nominations for gathering systems.
    • Assist in resolving transportation issues that arise involving trucking companies. Including service issues, lease assessments, lease locations (providing maps or GPS coordinates to help transportation company’s transition into their new role) when changing transportation companies.

    • Good analytical skills are required to diagnose problems, and the candidate must be able to identify multiple alternatives and/or recommendations for a given problem, as well as facilitate the implementation of solutions.
    • Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative.
    • Position requires the ability to balance multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the ability to shift established priorities in response to changing business needs.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, sound organizational skills.
    • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Ability to function effectively in a team environment, both as a team leader as well as a functional team member

     

    SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS / JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Working conditions: Primary work environment is outdoors, where an employee may be exposed to varying cold and hot temperatures.
    • Able to work extended hours as needed and respond to call-outs promptly with the ability to work on some weekends and holidays.
    • Physical effort required: Driving, walking, climbing tanks and standing frequently.
    • Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions. Must be able to work in remote locations.
    • Candidate will be subject to drug & alcohol testing requirements.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
    • Adhere and actively participate in Apache’s environmental, health and safety programs and culture.

    Job Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

     

    High School diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred)

     

    EXPERIENCE:        

     

    Minimum of 3 years related industry experience
