    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    Position Title: PI Systems Analyst, IT Corporate Applications


    Location: Houston, Texas


    Job Summary:


    The PI Systems Analyst will provide exceptional OSIsoft PI support services to Apache business units and related systems across multiple business domains as part of the IT Corporate Applications team.  This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, technical and people skills to help capture and communicate systems needs and coordinate systems activities.  Will be responsible for guiding and representing the team during projects.




    • Serve as a OSIsoft PI point of contact for the business and maintain strong business partnerships;
    • Document business requirements and functional specifications for requested system changes;
    • Coordinate project and system maintenance activity across multiple systems and business domains;
    • Develop and maintain functional and technical knowledge of multiple systems across multiple business domains.  Specific focus will pertain to OSIsoft PI architecture and toolsets;
    • Analyze and troubleshoot PI system needs and issues across multiple systems and business domains;
    • Work well with technical team members and across IT and Apache to get work done;
    • Lead testing efforts which may include formulating test strategies, creating test scripts, and executing various testing scenarios;
    • Facilitates the prioritization of projects and tasks and communicates delivery schedules and issues to stakeholders;
    • Develop and deliver end user training as necessary.

    Job Qualifications


    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field;
    • 7 or more years in Information Technology;
    • 5 or more years of oil and gas industry experience;
    • 5 or more years of experience with OSIsoft PI, PI Vision, PI connectors and related tools;
    • 3 or more years of experience with Cygnet.


    • Proven track record of success in a business facing role;
    • Solid people skills and business partnership orientation;
    • Experience gathering requirements;
    • Experience working with and/or leading Automation Foreman;
    • Experience as a technical lead on small to medium sized projects required;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • Sense of accountability, owning one’s work and taking pride in it; commitment to quality and delivery.
