    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    The Accountant I, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Revenue Accounting team, reporting to the Revenue Accounting Supervisor. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:


    • Perform revenue accounting functions related to Apache domestic oil and gas properties located in the Permian Region
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, with emphasis on third party receivables, intercompany balances, and owner payables
    • Correspond with owner relations, compliance, land, and marketing departments to ensure proper revenue accounting of assigned portfolio
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly close schedules including running reports and compiling data and providing detailed variance explanations
    • Assist with projects as needed

    Job Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:


    • 1- 3 years of professional accounting experience in the oil and gas industry;
    • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours;
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
    • Knowledge and experience with SAP/PRA;
    • Revenue Accounting experience a plus;
    • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills;
    • Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
