    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    Apache’s Subsurface Integration team seeks a Senior Completions Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary staff responsible for play characterization, design optimization, and value maximization across Apache’s portfolio.  The candidate will be responsible for analyzing historical completions practices on existing plays, optimizing completions designs, integrating completions data with subsurface data, and recommending best practices for completions on a global scale.  The candidate will act as a technical advisor to all regional Apache completions staff and will provide mentoring/training for junior staff. 

    Job Qualifications

    • BS in Engineering with 15+ years’ experience
    • Significant experience in operational design and supervision of execution of stimulations for unconventional reservoirs—multi-well, multi-frac horizontals—with a major or independent operator
    • Expertise in frac modeling with both 3D planar models as well as advanced coupled geomechanical frac models
    • Experience in the following is a plus:
      • Operations experience at both a service company and an operator
      • PTA/RTA
      • Fiber Optics installation and analysis
    • Experience with the following software is a plus:
      • IHS Harmony
      • IHS WellTest
      • StimPlan
      • Wellcat
      • Cerberus
