    Key Duties/Responsibilities


    Responsible for providing administrative support to the Region Land Department, under the supervision of the Land Admin Supervisor.  Monitors and requests updates to lease records, contracts, and lease expirations.  Assists in analysis and interpretation of leases, deeds, and agreements involving Company assets to establish and maintain Tobin Land Suite (“TLS”)/Quorum data. Originates and confirms data used in establishing property records in TLS/Quorum.  Familiar with contract limitations and relevant legal constraints. Utilizes relevant manual and computer systems.



    Assist Landmen with preparation, review, correspondence, research, and analysis, of all land and lease records and associated contracts
    Coordinate, process, and track workover, non-op and new well proposal AFEs
    Liaison between Corporate Land Administration (CLA)/Accounting and Region
    Knowledgeable on industry legal issues, regulatory matters, exploration and production issues, gas marketing and lease record/division order arrangements
    Assist department personnel with special projects
    Prepare or review eLPRs (electronic Lease Purchase Reports) for Oil and Gas Leases to determine mineral interest, process correct lease bonus payments and ensure mapping of the subject tract is correct.
    General research using Apache Systems: Tobin Land System (“TLS”), CLand Reports, Well Portal,  CLA Imaging, MapsNow, Quorum
    Scanning and Filing documents in Land Files and Corporate Land Imaging system
    Electronic Property Memorandum (“EPM”) creation for new wells, payouts, non-consents, farmouts, and recompletions.
    General Internet Research: Texas Railroad Commission, State of New Mexico Oil Conservation Division, New Mexico State Land Office, University Lands, Drilling Info, Premier Data Services, I H S, etc.
    Coordinate wire and check requests for lease bonus, vendor payments, cash calls
    Review and verify brokerage invoices for accuracy before approval by landmen and Land Manager
    Review of monthly obligation, payment and expiration calendars as needed
    Field inquiries from mineral owners and working interest partners
    Attend interdisciplinary team meetings

    Job Qualifications


    • Able to prioritize multiple projects. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
    • Ability to work with employees and vendors as well as other disciplines. Strong skills as a coordinator among different departments.
    • Capability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Strong computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.


    BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent years of experience in Land administration.



    • 5 + years of Land Administration experience
    • Ability to speak and understand oilfield terminology
    • Understanding of land and legal documents
    • Lease and Contract Analyst experience a plus
