    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    This position will work within Apache’s Information Security team recommending and developing security best practices for securing SAP systems, system access controls, user entitlements and contribute to projects requiring expertise in systems within the SAP landscape.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate existing systems and identify improvements related to security configurations and access controls.
    • Develop and manage transition plans to implement recommended improvements.
    • Create and Update system documentation, polices, standards and processes.
    • Utilize Apache’s service portal to manage and create service requests, change requests, etc.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to the Identity and Access Management team managing provisioning and deprovisioning activities.
    • Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies using best practices/industry standards.
    • Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies.
    • Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends.
    • Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world.
    • International and Domestic travel may be required.

    Job Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Extensive design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with large enterprises.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
    • Project management and customer interfacing capabilities.
    • Subject matter expertise for multiple SAP modules or work processes.
    • Hands on experience working on projects across SAP systems and components (e.g. ECC, GRC, PI, Solution Manager, HR Security).
    • Working knowledge of functional teams within IT and the Business to identify opportunities for process improvement.
    • Ability to work with customers and functional teams to help identify correct user access and roles for systems in the SAP system landscape.
    • Strong technical knowledge of SAP security architecture, ECC, SAP Netweaver, Identity Management, HANA and other new dimensional products.
    • Expertise in design and configuration of SAP’s GRC Access Control Suite to work with existing systems and applications.
    • Experience implementing alternate methods to manage segregation of duties and minimize the number of mitigation controls.
    • Experience working with Internal/External Audit and Compliance teams to automate controls.
    • Experience with implementations of User Access Review and Access Request Manager components.
    • Develop, implement SAP Security best practices.
    • Participate in yearly SAP License review and user management.


    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the Oil & Gas industry in an IT or related function.
    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
