    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    IT Analyst - Automation Support resource will work with the Network and Server IT Teams for dedicated support to Apache's NAUR Automation Team.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the development and on-going support of upstream and midstream applications
    • Aid in the development and administration of control network IT systems including installation, monitoring, performance utilization, upgrades, backups, recovery and overall operations.
    • Provide guidance and consultation in technical matters such as control network integration, hardware selection, and system configuration.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies for current projects and future initiatives; applicable to system architecture, data management, and other similar areas.
    • Prepare documentation and training to support IT and Automation processes.
    • Coordinate off-hours monthly maintenance patching and updating activities with Server, Network, Automation and other teams as necessary.
    • Develop partnerships with both corporate and region resources.

    Job Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Minimum B.S. or greater in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field.
    • 3-5 years’ work experience as IT in the Oil/Gas industry.
    • Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, IIS and related hardware.
    • Strong understanding of networking, including protocols, layers, best practices, etc.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to integrate feedback in a professional manner and thrives in multidisciplinary teams with members from highly diverse backgrounds.
    • Understanding of Information Security essentials including technical understanding of firewall management, group policies, NIST 800 series standards, etc.
    • Basic understanding of Active Directory tools and techniques.

    Skills Preferred:

    • Experience with SCADA control networks.
    • SQL and database management experience.
    • Strong technical IT networking background is highly desired.
    • Some experience in Oil/Gas Automation systems.
    • Database server experience preferred (e.g., PI, MySQL, SQL Server).
