    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    Position Description


    Apache’s Strategic Planning team provides analytical support to the executive team on key areas such as capital allocation, funding capacity and operational performance among others. The group is exposed to key information and interacts closely with the executive team and our operational regions normally under tight deadlines, to support their decision making processes.


    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Coordinate efforts between Regions, Strategic Planning and IT to develop, maintain and improve field developments plans
    • Participate in the delineation and analysis of long term operational and financial plans
    • Ensure business, operations and reservoir complexities are properly represented in the financial models
    • Develop and maintain field development plans integrated visualizations / surveillance tools
    • Preparation of presentation materials for executive management and Board of Director meetings

    Job Qualifications

    Requirements & Experience

    • MBA preferred with a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or geoscience
    • Minimum of 5 years of strong analytical experience in the oil and gas industry in a financial or technical function
    • Ability to create complex financial economic models
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
    • Enersight, Esi.Manage, Esi. Portfolio experience preferred but not required
    • Strong strategic sense combined with an ability to perform in an unstructured environment
