    Key Duties/Responsibilities

    The manager, Digital and Creative Services will transform concepts and ideas into tangible deliverables to support the communications strategies of Apache. He/she will manage a team of creative professionals focused on developing creative and digital content and strategies in support of both external and internal communications efforts and the needs of internal clients. Digital and creative content includes the development of graphics, print, web content, photography and videography. Apache’s digital communication channels include the Internet, mobile applications, intranet, and social media. Development of content and strategies will complement narrative and message development by the internal and external communications teams and will ensure brand integrity and consistency.



    • Manages all aspects of creative and digital output for projects within the Public Affairs department - from concept to production. Leads the creative services team to execute compelling content and deliverables in both print and digital and ensure a uniform brand identity.
    • Works with internal clients and departmental groups to plan and execute creative services projects, including needs assessment, scope and budget, timelines, resources, and task prioritization. Manage incoming requests and workflow of team ensuring projects are clearly communicated to design team and delivered on time and within budget. Communicates and presents design concepts to internal clients, provides consistent, proactive communication with all stakeholders around status, milestones, delivery of projects, and coordination of requests and/or feedback as needed.
    • Maintain a system for team collaboration, information sharing, and project status updates among the Public Affairs department.
    • Oversees all desktop publishing including reports, books, brochures, posters, flyers, templates, stationery, signage, apparel and other branded products.
    • Oversees all digital publishing including content to the intranet, Internet, digital signs, social media, mobile apps.
    • Oversees all audio/visual needs for internal clients including for internal meetings and events, including audio recording of the quarterly earnings call script, shareholder meetings, investor meetings, press conferences and trade shows to include collaborating with the appropriate department, arranging for the equipment, managing set up and being on hand during the event to ensure quality.
    • Maintains and protects visual brand identity including logo, color palette and typography. Oversee the policy and implementation of efforts to maintain the brand throughout the organization.
    • Oversees all photography and videography efforts including the development of shot lists, overseeing the creation of storyboards and scripts, filmography and editing.
    • Obtains and manages a database of model releases for all video and photography.
    • Maintains the company’s online photo and video galleries.
    • Maintains a library of B-roll for release to media or use in other projects.
    • Serves as member of the crisis communications team by providing multimedia, digital and creative support as needed.
    • Acts as webmaster overseeing the design, layout, functionality, user experience, content and integrity of online channels and provide analytics of the activity on all of Apache’s digital channels.
    • Oversees technical support for digital channels and related equipment.
    • Oversees the maintenance of audio/visual equipment in the corporate studio, including cameras, microphones, lighting, teleprompters, live feeds and connectivity.
    • Manages creative vendor support including graphic design firms, freelance graphic designers, freelance photographers/videographers, web developers for ApacheCorp.com, Apache Media & Investor Center mobile app, and intranet support.
    • Leads and develop the team of creative services personnel through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices.
    • Identifies ways to continuously improve process and outputs including creative workflow and ways to streamline processes for faster turnaround, at less cost.
    • Stays current on new technologies, industry trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to inform and drive creative vision and strategy.

    Job Qualifications

    Experience and qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in creative services, design or related field required.
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in creative design or marketing.
    • Previous experience managing creative teams and working with key stakeholders to prioritize and deliver against multiple and complex projects.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership capability.
    • Attention to detail and organization.
    • Excellent software skills including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work independently and motivated to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to interact with diverse groups of people in a professional and diplomatic manner.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
