Key Duties/Responsibilities

This is an analyst level position in the Investor Relations department reporting to VP of Investor Relations.  This person will work closely with the Director of Investor relations and the department administrator, as well as a wide range of co-workers and other stakeholders, including and up to the executive level, in planning, accounting, treasury, strategy, operations and other departments throughout the company.  The Investor Relations analyst will also have exposure to individual and institutional investors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain updates to IR presentation and create presentation materials for IR events, including PowerPoint, Excel, and printed materials.
  • Provide market intelligence research and analytical support
  • Perform competitive analysis to be used in presentation material including researching and identifying appropriate metrics and comparisons
  • Assist in logistics of earnings calls, financial conferences, non-deal road shows and investor meetings
  • Assist in updating IR section of company website and intranet site
  • Assist with setting up calls and meetings with buy side investors and sell side analysts
  • Respond accurately and timely to investor and co-worker information requests
  • Monitor and track shareholder activity and maintain a listing of current and targeted institutional shareholders
  • Review analysts’ research reports for factual accuracy and provide appropriate feedback when changes and corrections are required
  • Provide support for VP of Investor Relations’ presentations to the Board of Directors

Job Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1-5 years of experience in Investor Relations, corporate communications, or related financial market experience; oil and gas industry experience preferred, accounting experience a plus
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or other business related course of study is preferred or a graduate degree in business
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; team player able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work well and assimilate into a small group, with non-uniform work flows and work hours
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products with heavy PowerPoint and Excel experience; Bloomberg and other financial data software experience a plus
  • Interest and desire to learn more about the E&P business, capital markets, and communication
  • Meticulous and deadline oriented
  • Some travel may be required
