Key Duties/Responsibilities

Perform Region Lease Operating Expenditure (LOE) accountant functions related to Apache domestic oil and gas properties.  LOE cash accounting functions include: Reconcile and post monthly Well Count, post Producing and Drilling Overhead, run percentage JOA Overhead, prepare monthly Overhead manual entries, perform monthly overhead and well count audits, preparation of metrics. Perform workover analysis and reconciliations. Variance analysis/explanations for operations and accounting.  Review and handle responses related to: owner, treasury, district/field office LOE inquiries, and JV audit requests. Work on special project as requested by management. Participate in physical inventories for the region. Position will interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to Apache Corporation.

Job Qualifications

Accounting degree with 2-5 years professional accounting experience in the oil & gas industry; minimum of 12 accounting hours.  A working knowledge of Oil & Gas Joint Operating Agreements and COPAS guidelines is a plus.  A proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP experience is a plus.  Good interpersonal and communication skills.
