Key Duties/Responsibilities

Apache’s Planning team provides analytical support to the executive team on key areas such as capital allocation, funding capacity and operational performance among others. The group is exposed to key information and interacts closely with the executive team, normally under tight deadlines, to support their decision making process.


  • Gather data, analyze inputs, and coordinate with regional management teams and other corporate departments to prepare 2- year work programs and budgets and monthly outlook projections
  • Participate  in the delineation, development and analysis of long term operational and financial plans
  • Provide in-depth analysis and present findings on key drivers of monthly outlook variances
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals
  • Gather data to participate in evaluation of acquisitions and divestitures, reviewing input and output of financial model
  • Preparation of presentation materials for executive management and Board of Director meetings

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or geoscience
  • Strong analytical experience in the oil and gas industry in a financial or technical function is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong strategic sense combined with an ability to perform in an unstructured environment
