Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain multiple payroll accounts – bank reconciliations and general ledgers;
  • Perform internal audits as well as prepare information for external audits;
  • Prepare monthly general ledger entries;
  • Evaluate payroll data (i.e., 401k, equity reconciliation);
  • Evaluate accruals for accounting (i.e., incentives, equity, vacation, etc.);
  • Calculate estimated and actual annual benefit burden rate;
  • Provide proxy details;
  • Handle all payroll tax inquiries and payments;
  • Act as liaison for financial and reporting activities outside of HR organization (i.e., cost center inquiries, details for GL postings);
  • Prepare year-end reconciliation for W-2 statements;
  • Estimate tax payments for ex-pat expenses at year-end;
  • Provide support to LOE accounting department; and
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

A successful candidate will have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field (required);
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience preferably in a payroll environment that has included ex-pat employees;
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and priorities, be flexible and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to evaluate information, resolve problems, and communicate results;
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment;
  • Excellent organizational and customer services skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Advanced experience in Excel and proficiency in Word and Outlook; and
  • SAP experience (required).
  • Desire to work and lead with a sense of urgency; and
  • Strong sense of values, ethics, honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
